A British writer and director based in Oslo, Norway since 2021.
Working across film and interdisciplinary, drama-driven projects, I am currently developing ways of taking cinema beyond the screen through interactive, immersive work that blends cinema, live performance, real-time digital tools, and laser-based installation to create experiences where story unfolds in physical space.
Earlier in my career, I wrote and directed film work including Trace and Drop starring Russell Tovey, which later expanded into story-based art projects in public spaces. These include The Intergalactic Hanseatic League starring Kate Dickie, a climate change themed sci-fi project I directed and co-wrote, where I led 24 artists and more than 800 young participants in a project that took over the entire town of King’s Lynn in England. This immersive project is now archived in the BFI's Our Screen Heritage scheme here.
Before focusing on directing, I worked in visual effects on more than 37 feature films (inc. Harry Potter) a career which continues to inform my work and creative ideas as I move to blend cinema and live performance.
I'm currently developing AGENCY, an immersive feature-length science fiction project combining cinema and intimate theatre through digital interaction, scenography and laser. It explores the walls we grow up within and later build around our lives.
Support for my recent projects includes Statens diversestipend (andre kunstnergrupper) in both 2026 & 2025, Kulturrådet Forprosjekt scenekunst for AGENCY and Viken filmsenter Fordypningsstipend 2025 for both AGENCY and Barna I Fabrikkbyen.

In 2025 / 26 I've directed a series of films for the University of Oslo's Dept of Musicology Prison's of Note project, focusing on music in incarceration and how it can support rehabilitation and reintegration. Two of these, Real Life: Venjas Harem & Gústi: Því að lifa lífinu? (Why live life?) will be presented as part of a Sonic Citizenship installation at the Nobel Peace Centre, Oslo in Autumn 2026. I've also given several lectures at the Westerdals Institute for Film and Media in connection with their interdisciplinary course MAIL.
As a writer / director of drama, promo & documentary films, I've also directed work for organisations such as the V&A Museum in London, The Fitzwilliam Museum, Thames & Hudson, Faber Social, Collusion Cambridge, King's College London, Desigual & Socialbakers, Finchittida, Charity Fashion Live & Oxfam, University of Cambridge, Kingston Hospital, Clinique, Liberty London, Macmillan Cancer Support, Virgin Active, ARK & The Co-operative Group. This has accompanied a number of self penned short drama films, selected & screened internationally in established film festivals and various ongoing documentaries. I've also collaborated with artist & musician Cosey Fanni Tutti on various film art projects.
In 1995 I graduated with a 2:1 from a 3 year BA (Hons) degree in Film (FVPA) from University of Westminster. Prior to purely directing in 2008 I cut my teeth on sets of feature films / commercials as a VFX supervisor / compositor credited on over 37 features. Ads & promo work include Glazer's 'Guinness Surfer’ & UNKLE 'Rabbit in your Headlights'. With a love of music / film soundtracks, I played in live experimental noise bands since 1992 and in 2001-08 I released 3 solo albums as vessel & scored a range of TV / films before focusing more exclusively on my film writing & directing.
